Cinemalaya is the Philippines’ most influential competition and festival of Independent Films that aims to encourage the creation of new cinematic works by Filipino filmmakers. The festival screens full length and short films by new filmmakers in the New Breed section and works by established filmmakers in the Directors Showcase. The festival also hosts forums, trade fairs, workshops, talkbacks, special premieres, exhibits and parties.

It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so I really don’t mind if I took the opportunity to do so. Thank you so much Manila Bulletin and my friend Nicole Zafra for this chance to voice my opinion even if it’s all about the country’s state of nation.
